- Notes
-
In 1926, Felcourt Products Ltd. showcased their innovative De Lux "Press-the-Button" radio set at the National Radio Exhibition.
This receiver was designed to simplify wireless operation "to the level of falling off a log".
The set featured:
- A three-valve circuit with two L.F. amplifiers
- Capability to operate a large loudspeaker for local stations and 5XX (Daventry)
- Two preset wavelengths for the local station and Daventry
- Two press buttons for easy station selection
- "Soft" and "Loud" jack switches for volume control
- An option to use two valves for headphone reception
The "Press-the-Button" set was particularly noteworthy for its user-friendly design. The panel featured only two press buttons and the "loud" and "soft" jack switches, making it exceptionally easy to operate.
Additionally, the set had a semi-automatic battery connection system, with specially designed cabinets and contact strips to prevent incorrect battery placement.
Priced at £16-16-0 for the receiver only.
It is also available as a 2-valve version.
