  • 1919 Grebe Vacuum Tube Transmitter Coupler Unit Type TKAD - The type TKAD unit is a tickler type for undamped telegraph and telephone transmitters, provided with variable coupling control. The maximum wavelength obtainable with the primary when shunted with a variable capacity of .001 M.F. is 450 meters. Wavelengths up to 355 meters can be reached with the secondary, when shunted with a variable condenser of .0006 M.F.
    All inductances are wound with Litz wire of sufficient capacity to handle 50 watts, on either cellulak tubes or kiln-dried hardwood forms. Standard Grebe construction, with weathered finish quartered oak cabinets, bakelite panels, and dials, Gorton engraved.
