  • This compact aircraft-receiver, part of SCR-274N, covers frequency 3.0 to 6.0 MHz AM/CW. Control is local or remote. At the front there is a small mounting-plate which is bare in case of remote control, or which contains a volume-control, a switch on/off and a switch AM/CW.

    In case of remote control, there is no dial knob but a bowden-cable is connected.

    Power supply by dynamotor DM-32, mounted at the back of the receiver.

    The suffix -A or -B to the name BC-454 means a different output-transformer with an audio-output of 8000 ohms for the -A variant and 8000/600 ohms for the -B variant.
