  • G. M. Proudfoot advertised this "Navy Type Receiving Transformer" loose coupler in a November 1920 Radio News advertisement. Proudfoot offered two tuning transformers which were the same electrically but differed in style. This Loose Coupler is a "Navy Type", since it has an enclosed primary coil with tap switches to tune the primary circuit. It has a tuning range of 3500 meters.
