- The Reception 1920's Battery-Powered Tube Radio. Manufactured by the Reception Radio Corporation in Philadelphia. This radio has three RF stages, a detector and a two-stage audio amplifier for driving an external loudspeaker. There are separate jacks for headphones and speaker. The tuning condensers are not ganged, so you must tune each stage individually.
