Luis Santiago

I have a new radio Siera. Without model or any identification.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advanced,

Luís Santiago

  2 Hallo  Luis,
please let us know, what's written on the typeplate, You might be able to identify the set from that information,
please try to write the content down or take a narrow picture of it,
kind regards Martin
Luis Santiago

Hello Martin,

what can I find in the typeplate is this:

The tubes are type"U" and I identified one as "UY42".

I don't know if it is enough to find the Model.

Best regards,

Luis Santiago

Hello Martin,

this weekend I tried to find more identification about the Siera Radio. In the back side of the typeplate I could find more information about the device. For that I used a magnifying glass and I was able to find this:

Type: SA1000U70

220V    45W

The tubes are: UY42; UF41; UL41; UBC41 and another one without any kind of identification.

In the same typeplate I found a symbol of Siera with "Made in Holland"

Best regards,

Frank Van de Ven
  5 Hello Luis.

You will find your radio in the Radio Museum database

edit: and I now noticed you added it, thank you.

The dial and chassis look similar to a Philips set I have. Could it be made by Philips under license?

After a quick look, here is a photo of my Philips BX135U chassis. Very similar.
