Notes

The Western Auto Truetone D-711 Supreme is an AC operated 8 tube BC, Police and SW band receiver.  Has tone control, tuning eye tube and push-pull output stage.

There are 3 known versions of the truetone D-711 model:

Model Riders Schematic Number of Tubes Manufacturer
D-711 Volume 10, Pages 10-25, 10-36, 10-37 7 Wells Gardner

D-711 Dial   Type 1

Volume 12, Page 12-13 8 Detrola
D-711 Dial    Type 2 Volume 12, Page 12-13 8 Detrola

The 8 tube models use the same cabinet and chassis but have different dials, one being a red color and the other being a multi-color dial.

The catalog "1939 Truetone Radios" from "Western Auto Stores" shows a model as "Supreme" (see picture) with the multi-color dial. It is unclear if the red dial version is also known as a "Supreme" model.
