  • Anotaciones
  • Remote control for 6 preselected stations by motorised tuning.
Not to be confused with the Amplifier-speaker combination 10A (Loud Speaking Telephone Outfit) from 1922.
AC filament. There are 2 different variants with different tubes of th model I0-A.
The 10A Radio Receiver is relay rack mounted and is of the tuned radio frequency type. There are three stages of screen grid band pass amplification, (VT1-3) a detector (VT-4) and automatic gain control tube (VT-5). Circuits tuned by six gang variable tuning condenser and audio range control to limit audio bandwidth when desired. The antenna input circuit is equipped with a sensitivity switch (DI) which prepares a reduction in voltage of input signals. Tuning meter - see this article.

The receiver requires the use of an outboard amplifier to permit loudspeaker operation. The 59B amplifier (extremely rare) is ideal in that it is capable of supplying the necessary plate voltages of 200 and 250V DC. Rack-mount width, rack height 19 1/4" high. 75 lbs. Black lacquer. Input impedance 1400 ohm (antenna). Tube compliment 3x259A, 2x247A. audio range. uniform 40-7000 (conservative). Cut offs available @ 2kHz and 4kHz. Output impedance feeds 200 ohm input in amplifier. Controls: Tuning Control/Sensitivity Switch/Power Switch/Level Control/Board with control.
