  • 5-valve broadcast band superhet car radio with an RF stage.

    Model 39 is a six-valve superheterodyne Auto Radio available in models for either 6 volt or 12 volt operation and 5" P.M. Speaker is used. The Speaker is contained in a single cabinet with the receiver and power supply. The two-way tone control is fitted.

    Ignition interference from the motor is eliminated by an efficient built-in spark suppressor. The tubes used are R.F. 7B7, Osc-mixer 7S7, I.F. 787, 2nd. Det-Audio 7C6, Output 7C5, Rectifier 7Y4.

    CONTROLS: A volume control, station selector, and two-position tone control are provided.

    External connections: -

    (1) Battery connection. A lead from the receiver carries a 10-ampere fuse and is connected to the live battery lead at a suitable point on the dash panel. The return lead is obtained through the chassis when it is bolted in place in the car. It is not necessary to observe the polarity of the battery.

    (2) Aerial Lead. A three-foot shielded aerial lead is provided. This connects to the external car aerial.

    Accessories provided are mounting bolts, brackets, etc.
