The Wilcox-Gay A-17 is an AC/DC operated 5 tube BC, Police and SW band receiver. Uses ballast tube L49B. Has 6.3V lamp and phono input. Also has a tone control (Models A15, 3JM6 and 3JQ6 do not have a tone control).
Gernsback calls out the same schematic for Wilcox-Gay models A15, A17, 3JM6 and 3JQ6. Riders has schematic for only models 3JM6 and 3JQ6 (Riders 7-2) but the alignment instructions (Riders 7-3) call out all 4 models. Thus the schematic in Riders is also applicable for this model.
