Pair used with a pair of 3V4 tubes in KS-14990 printed circuit board used in Western Electric 1A and 1A1 speakerphone control units introduced in 1954. Held in socket by retaining clip riveted to circuit board fit that over nub at top of tube. Each tube served as preamplifier driving a 3V4 output tube.
