Im Jahre 1955, ich war damals 6 Jahre alt, kauften meine Eltern von ihrem mühsam ersparten Geld in der Nachkriegszeit einen Philips „Serenata BA 290 U“. Mein Forscherdrang war geweckt und bei ihrem nächsten Theaterbesuch kramte ich aus Vaters Werkzeugkiste einen passenden Schraubenzieher um endlich dahinterzukommen, was in dem Ding das sich „Radio“ nannte drinnen ist, - und wieso da Musik und Sprache herauskommen können. Erklärung habe ich damals keine gefunden, was meine Neugierde aber nur noch mehr entfachte. Bald darauf eignete ich mir das Dachbodenabteil meiner Großmutter an, schob den ganzen ungenutzen Krempel in eine Ecke und im Rest des Raumes entstand eine kleine Radiozerlege-Bastelwerkstatt. An Radios mangelte es damals nicht, die lieferte der nahe gelegene Müllplatz, bei dem ich immer wieder welche abholen konnte, da bereits das Zeitalter der „goldenen Fünfziger“ angebrochen war und die Leute mehr und mehr auf UKW-Geräte umstiegen, so es ihnen der Geldbeutel erlaubte. Wenn mich damals jemand suchte, fand er mich meist in „MEINER Werkstätte“ in der ich viel Zeit verbrachte um dem Geheimnis „Radio“ auf die Spur zu kommen. Diese Faszination hielt bis heute an und es ist immer noch kein Ende in Sicht……… .. Museum in Innsbruck
