Good evening,

I just uploaded a self drawn circuit diagram of this set (property of the Olens Radiomuseum).
I have two questions about this diagram.

  • Point 2 of the antenna coils is not connected to anything. Can this be correct?
  • The screen grid (pin 3) of tube 57 is connected to th cathode of the 2A5 (pin 5).

Can anyone explain these 2 points please?

Thank You

Good evening Van Campenhout

After checking the circuit the Antennacoil has to be earth. The end of that coil and also the switch must be connected to earth. 2) The second screen (3) from the Valve 57 works only when getting a positiv voltage approx. 40/60 Volts. In this case from the Katode 2A5 (5) only approx. 15/20 Volts.Iff the current drops in the 2A5 ( worn out 2A5 ) so drops the voltage also, and the Gain in the 57 drops also. You have a AVALANCHE effect. I would'n so happy whit this circuit, but it is correct, it seems working.  Greatings  J.Leber
