emerson: fixing radio's

I would to pass on my experience fixing Emerson 813 -a USA import to fellow enthusists Fault - no results ( dead) filter condenser measure under 1 uf - no massive hum ,'Speaker coil open -circuit. Both parts replaced and the radio works well.P.S As I live in the UK I use a AC-AC Convertor 230V. Output AC 110V 100 Watts .
