Gentlemen,
Could anybody explain me please what is the difference between Nora SSK41
battery portable receiver and Nora K41??
I have  Nora SSK41 in my collection. I have purchased it on eBay, and pictures
of SSK41 at RMorg are in fact pictures of my receiver:
And my Nora K41 is in transit from Germany to Russia at the moment,
so I have only some eBay pictures of it:
 

         
I need your expertise to answer the following question.

         
Why couldn't I find Nora SSK41 in any summaries of German "Troops Entertainment
Receivers" (Truppenbetreuungsempfänger) while Nora K41 is there along with
Nora K42 and Nora K42N ??

         
Would that be because Nora SSK41 was an export version of Nora K41 for sale
to Sweden or somewhere else??

         
I have seen elsewhere that Braun BSK441 was such an export version for sale to
Sweden, but I have never seen any such information regarding Nora portable receivers.

           I could not find any answer to your question in the fourteen-part paper of Karl Opperskalski "Die deutschen Exportradios 1940 bis 1944" (The German Export Broadcast Receiver 1940 to 1944) in "Funkgeschichte" No. 122 to 134 (1998 - 2000).

           But I have checked some details found on SSK41 and K41. Let me show my opinion about this.


           On the scale of SSK41 we can find only names of Broadcast transmitters in Germany, countries connected in that time to Germany (Prag, Böhmen), invaded by Germany (Paris, Weichsel, Luxemburg) or allied with Germany (Finnmark) in German language. The paper on the right side of the backplate of the case of your SSK41 shows some words typical for the vocabulary of German military use: "Nachschub" and "Feldelemente". I think these details are excluding the assumption that it was produced for exportation. Maybe the paper was added in 1942 or later when that radio came in military use.


           The scale of K41 however shows international European transmitter names in foreign language but not in German: Bruxelles (not Brüssel), Vilnius (not Wilna), R. Romania (not Rumänien), Köbenhavn (not Kopenhagen), Bratislava (not Preßburg), Roma (not Rom).


           I think the SSK41 could be not an export version of K41 but on the contrary the K41 the export version of SSK41.
