  • Notes
  • The R-X Noise Bridge contains a wideband noise generator and an RF impedance bridge. A shortwave receiver is used as the detector. The useful range on the Noise Bridge is 1-100 MHz. It measures R= 0-250 ohms and C= +/- 70 pF. Dial accuracy is about 2 pF.

The related XC value (capacitive impedance in ohms) is calculated by formula XC = 159154*(1/(70-C)-1/70)/F and the related XL value (inductive impedance in ohms) is calculated by formula XL = 159154*(1/70-1/(70+C))/F.
C is the value of the scale reading at the noise bridge (in pF) and F is the frequency of the receiver used as detector (in MHz).
