Hello, I have another radio, Flyer 8886, very similar to this one (but the Flyer is AM/FM).
Because the mounting scheme of the tuning wire is the same, if you are interested in it, you can see my 5 photo I upload today in the "Flyer 8886 Radiomuseum page".
Hope this help some people: in fact there are no mounting scheme in the service manual of the R-218R.
