grundig: Grundig 4097 - Stereo Decoder

Hello everybody:

I have the chance to buy this radio, Grundig 4097 Stereo. It would be my first Grundig radio with FM.

Unfortunatelly it does not come with its Grundig Stereo-Decoder 4.

I will really appreciate your information about if it is possible to find this decoder or not, and tell me where I can look for one, please.

Also,  I was reading on RMorg about other model, the Grundig Stereo-Decoder 6. Would be adequate for this radio?

Any information, options or hints about this situation, a good radio without its decoder, in order I can take a good decision, will be very well welcome.

Hello:

Finally, I bought the Grundig 4097 radio. This radio uses the FM Stereo-Decoder 4 (four), but the mine did not come with it.

Can I use a Stereo-Decoder 6 (six) making some modifications in the circuit of the radio?

In Saba decoders  just changing some capacitors we can use it in USA.

Is it possible do the same with this Grundig decoder?

Yes, is possible.

EDIT: i have no Informations to Coil 9235-104 

Booth Circuits show the Differences between  the german and US-model.

Re-ajustment is necesserary.

I have found a new GRUNDIG Decoder 5 ,  (rare) with 75usec US-Norm, for José´.

And hoppe all works well in Santiago. .

Yes sir, that is true !!

But I can say, this was only possible with your kind help and professional interest to find a solution for my problem.

When the decoder arrives to Chile, I will have my first Grundig radio, a 4097, and I will enjoy to listen real FM stereo with tubes.
