  • Philips 623 "Merlin" Contemporary Console

    A 23"  (59 cm) two-piece console receiver having 16 valves, eight germanium diodes and two silicon diodes, five voltage-dependent resistors. Cabinet, on castors (623A) or short legs (623B), finished in maple, walnut or rose-mahogany.

    Features: Aerial input 300 or 75 ohms. Power-tuned cascode turret tuner (10-channel VHF) with channel preselection and remote control, Three-stage IF with two frame-grid valves; two-stage sound IF. Ratio detector. Keyed, gated, delayed AGC. DC coupling to picture tube. Stabilised vertical, horizontal and EHT circuits. New horizontal chassis easily accessible for servicing. Automatic control of contrast by light-dependent resistor. Speakers-front mounted, 8", 6".

    Controls: push-button on-off, channel selector bar, contrast, volume, brightness, tone. Rear preset: fine tuning, channel selector disc manual tuner, horizontal hold, vertical hold. Remote control cable (25 ft) for channel, volume, picture. (MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
