  • Anotaciones
  • The RF chassis of the Capehart model 111K3 uses the metal tube 6SK7 as Pentagrid-Converter (Heptode), together with the Oscillator 6J5GT, followed by two metal tubes 6SK7 (IF), the metal double-diode-triode 6Q7 (2nd Det, AVC, 1st Audio) and the magic eye 6G5/6U5 - resulting in 6 tubes.

The AF amplifier chassis uses for voltage amplifier the universal triode 6J5GT, followed by the double-triode 6C8G as duo driver and four 6V6G beam power amplifiers as the parallel and push-pull output tubes. There are three full-wave vacuum rectifiers 5Y3G for the power supply, working with a filter choke - resulting in 9 tubes. All together 15 tubes. The models "Early Georgian of season 1940/41 were available in walnut or mahogany.

See here the "Common information for the Capehart model pages for the 1930s and 1940s" and for the information about Series 100 here. The number 111 is for the cabinet "Early Georgian. The "K" stands for the season 1940/41 and the number "3" is for the AM chassis with a simpler tube line up of the receiver and one amplifier. See also the FM model 111K2 with an other tuner and two AF chassis.
