Description

The Tungsram tube is listed as identical to the Sylvania 6H5 and similar to the RCA 6G5. (Tungsram UK data).
The original type is the 6E5 from design in 1934, Domestic radios, and market introduction through RCA from 1935. Direct followers are the 2E5, this 6G5, 6T5, 6U5, 6AB5, and 6N5. All have similar characteristics and use the same 6-pin base, except the 2E5 has a 2.5-volt heater.
