  • Anotaciones
  • The Howard Chippendale model 718-FMC has a tuning eye, push-pull audio amplifier with bass enhancement. It has a turntable, probably from Webster Chicago, and a Jensen loudspeaker. Power consumption is 115 watts plus record changer. Broadcast 550 - 1700 kc, SW: 1,7 - 5.5 mc and 5.5 - 18 mc plus FM 41 to 50 mc. Careful, Howard made the first models 718 with 12 tubes and without FM - like the consoles 718 (1940), 718C (1941, walnut console, upper front rectangular dial) and 718APC (radiogram with inner right front slide rule dial, inner left phono, doors) with the same 6 buttons but 4 knobs in a row. This is the FM chassis with 14 tubes and 5 knobs (2 and 3) which can be found at least in the consoles 718FM (console, upper front slide rule dial - Slusser names 4 knobs ...), 718FMC, 718FMX and 718XFMA. The sticker of the 718 FMX shows two 6AC7 with a bigger heater current etc. instead of the 6SK7. See information about the whole family 718. The price in the Radio Retailing September 1941 is $169.95 - measures 37 1/2 inches high. The price in the Radio Retailing October 1941 is $229.00 - measures 37 1/8 inches high. So we put in the information from the Radio Retailing September 1941.
