  • Notes
  • TR5AS is a double conversion receiver for Amateur use.
15 germanium transistors and 7 diodes are used.
    The set covers the 3.5 / 7 / 14 / 21 / 28 MHz band.
The RF front-end has an RF amplifier, a mixer and a local oscillator.
The first IF is on 1.6MHz, the second on 455kHz without quartz filter.
A Q multiplier is available for selectivity increase.
    A BFO allows SSB demodulation.
A big 12x19cm speaker provides a good sound quality.
The overall performance is good with an operational sensitivity around 1µV in SSB.
