Im Außenbereich des Heimathauses Klafeld-Geisweid wurde ein über 100 Jahre alter Dampfhammer aus der Hammerschmiede der Fa. Krupp AG als technisches Baudenkmal aufgestellt. Der Hammer hat über 100 Jahre seinen Dienst getan, ehe er Ende der 80er Jahre stillgelegt wurde.
Am Hammer befestigt ist eine tabellarische Aufstellung über die Entwicklung des Stahlstandortes Geisweid bis heute."
