Work started on development of this tube at the GE laboratories in the Fall of 1927 and it was assigned the type number (UX865) in November 1928. It was released to the public in March 1929. ST-16 bulb. Thoriated tungsten filament. Gm 0.75 mS, 15W anode dissipation, 15MHz.
