Description

As with all other UK Amplion tubes/valves, this is a re-branded item made by Meropolitan Vickers. There were six tubes in the series

Metropolitan-Vickers, using the Cosmos brand, were the source for Amplion and this AMR6/9 is one of the SP (short path) tubes. See for example the SP18RR. The Amplion box for this tube has the words "short path".

The date of manufacture is 1925 to 1927.
