Description

This tube is a 50 watt transmitting type developed in the de Forest High Bridge laboratory in The Bronx, New York in 1916. de Forest actually had a transmitter using this tube in the laboratory and a transmitter similar to this was used to broadcast the November 1916 Presidential Election results. The tube had glass arbors to strengthen the element assembly and the anode lead came from one end, while the filament and grid leads from the other end.
