Descripción

40 mA at 350 V. As an oscillator 5 Watt output power.
Sibley gives 15W output power for 'T_Pliotron'/VT-12 later evolved in VT-14. But at a total dissipated power of ony 14 Watt Sibley obviouslyly confused that with the output power of 5 Watt (as an oscillator).
This tube was originally used by the U S Navy as a low power oscillator for small radiotelegraph and telephone sets on submarine chasers and aircraft transmitters. First designated VT-12 by the US Signal Corps, changes were made to the filament design and the tube was redesignated VT-14.

The revised tube was designated CG1162 by the US Navy.
