Descripción

Work started on this tube at the GE laboratories in the fal of 1924. The tube had a thoriated tungsten filament. It soon became evident that the tube type number was similar to the Western Electric type 216A and GE changed the number to UV216B. As it was a rectifier, GE gave it the brand name "Kenotron"
