Data Protection Regulation

We are committed to data protection. In the following text we inform you about which data we store and how we use the data. We are subject to the provisions of data protection laws and have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that we comply with the data protection regulations.

Automatic Data Storage

When you visit our website, our server automatically saves data such as:

  • the address (URL) of the accessed website
  • browser and browser version
  • the operating system used
  • the address (URL) of the previously visited page (referrer URL)
  • the host name and the IP address of the device from which access is requested
  • date and time

We do not pass on the data, however, we cannot exclude the possibility that the data will be viewed in the event of illegal behaviour.

Use of Cookies

Like almost every interactive portal, we use cookies (small files storing configuration information) to identify you as a member. We declare that we do not record any personal data in the cookies.

Most browser settings are configured so that they automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or adjust your browser settings so that you are notified as soon as cookies appear. If you deactivate cookies, you will not be able to log in as a member.

Data Storage in the Portal

Personal Data

In general, you can use our website without disclosing your identity (guest). If you are interested in being granted access to more detailed information and in helping to expand our database, you can register as a member. Your registration allows you to upload data, images, texts, etc. and to get in contact with other members.

During the registration process we ask for your real name and postal address, which we need to confirm by conducting a one-time postal dispatch. Following the letter and when membership is established, we usually correspond via e-mail.

We will additionally ask you about further details such as telephone, your callsign as a radio amateur, your (approximate) age, etc. as well as your preferences in the hobby. The additional data gives us insight in the interests of the prospective member and allows us to arrange personal contacts more appropriately.

In connection with your access, the system stores data such as IP address, date, time and clicked images. The option for statistical analysis of anonymous data records remains reserved. By analysing the data, we can recognize the website's functions in a better way.

No Transfer of Personal Information to Third Parties

We commit ourselves to save the data exclusively on a protected server and not to forward it to any other organization / company or other members. In particular, we do not rent or sell addresses or send you mails on behalf of other organizations / people.

Your contributions in our discussion and text forums are accessible to everyone. Before posting, you should carefully review your contributions to ensure that they do not contain any information that is not intended for the public.

Non-Personal Data

Non-personal data includes texts, forum posts, circuit diagrams, images, collector prices, etc.

Assume that your contributions are indexed in search engines and can be accessed worldwide, even without specifically accessing Radiomuseum.org. The deletion or correction of such entries cannot be enforced with foreign operators. You could inform us at any time if you made a mistake while uploading and you want us to correct posts, images, etc. We will meet your needs whenever we can.

Contributions, pictures, etc. are generally considered a donation to the member community or the public and cannot be revoked. Pictures, schematics, etc. remain subject to the consignor’s copyright. As a member, you have the right to anonymize contributions at any time.
