Hi All,

I have a tube marked as 2X63. Tungsram made. The base is noval 9 pin.

I haven't found any information about it on the internet.

Has anybody an idea what it could be?

in Elektrotanya habe ich eine Diskussion auf ungarisch gefunden, wo diese Frage schon einmal gestellt wurde,

Konstruktiv ist diese Röhre sehr einfach: Ein doppelter Heizfaden für indirekte Heizung und sonst nichts. Keine Kathode, keine Anode. Ungewöhnlich ist außerdem, dass die Heizung weit über die Glimmerträger hinausragt. Das Blech hält das Ganze nur zusammen.

Es sind zwei Heizdrähte in Serie: 2 × 6,3 V. (300 mA). Das erklärt wohl auch die Typenbezeichnung.

Constructively, this tube is very simple: a double filament for indirect heating and nothing else. No cathode, no anode. What is also unusual is that the filament reaches far beyond the mica supports. The metal cylinder only holds the whole thing together.

There are two heating wires in series: 2 × 6.3 V. (300 mA). This probably also explains the type designation.
