Does anybody know about this guy?
It's a full wawe rectifier, made by Tungsram. The base is Europe 4-Pin. Similar to the PV 200/600 but the plate is shorter:42mm->34mm. The sign clearly says 4Ц188C and 4C188. But this type isn't known by Google.

Hello Ottó,
unfortunately I don't know anything about this tube, but I have introduced tube pages for both types 4Ц188С and 4C188. You can upload pictures there.

I suspect this a Tungsram version of the ВО-188. Can you check the heater current at 4 V ?

Dear Colleagues,
I have the same feeling, that in reality it is tube ВО(VO)-188. On end of 30`s in USSR have been started a new system of tube coding. Until 1937 abbreviation ВО meant "oxid-rectifier", ВО-188 is a 4V dual rectifier, since 1937 first label should be heating voltage - 4, second label rectifier - "Ц" and the rest of old number, "С" on end like stjeklo-glas. But in case of old, existing tubes this coding was not used at all, at newly introduced tubes only...

Hello Jacob,
Your idea about BO188 looks right. I measured 2.27A heater current @4V.

Hello to all,
I can't imagine that this 4Ц188С is anything else then an equivalent to the ВО-188.
The number 188 was not chosen at random.
