Greetings,

I have this  Melodia 1118 Edelholz, Graetz, Altena (Westfalen), and due to wrong electricity connection the power section was damaged. It has been replaced with new Transformer and Selenium Rectifier. The Radio is working in AM and SW bands, but FM is not coming. My questions is that there is a " Graetz FM Multiplex Stereo Adaptor' attatched to the back plate and connected to the Radio, diagram attatched.

What is the role of it?

And without this radio has to work with FM , correct?

Looking for advise here as FM need to work by default.

Thank you

Regards

The "adapter" is a stereo decoder. Probably, a plug with a few jumpers or maybe de-emphasis components (RC networks) has to be fitted in the receptacle for the decoder, to get audio from the FM demodulator to the AF section without a decoder. Details will be clear from the schematics for the radio and the decoder.

Hello Uday,

Since the export model Graetz Melodia 1118 E was not listed in RMorg, a new model page was created. Your pictures have been moved there, as well as the forum post.
