Dear Michael,

Are you sure that you changed the filter caps (Electrolyte Capacitor Block) too? This is the aluminum block C1 in the upper  left corner,  see attached diagram.

If you are still having problems with humming the first thing I would look at is the ground connection for all electrolytics.

If you have a scope, measure the freq. and post that in your problem description.

I have not changed C1, I will look at that not sure where I could fin one, but I could make one I suppose.

Please have a look at Antique Electronic Supply. They have a Capacitor - 500V, 32/32µF.
