Decca TP50A Debonette batteries
Hello François
The Debonette originally took two Ever Ready PP6 9 volt batteries which are rarely seen for sale now. The Ever Ready PP3 can be used instead and they fit the original clips. The PP3 is the same battery as the 6LR61 and MN1604.
New original Ever Ready PP6 batteries occasionally appear on UK websites but they are expensive, the PP3 is a lot cheaper.

Decca debonette tp50
Hello Howard,
I' ve connected 2 pp3 to the radio. No sound, checked the speaker. The resistance has to be 70 ohm and found that the speaker is broken. Do you know where I can find another one?

Decca TP50A Debonette loudspeaker
Hello Francois,
125 ohm is an unusual impedance for a loudspeaker and I don't know of any other sets that have one and I don't have one. Probably the only way you will obtain an original Rola brand replacement is to find another scrap Decca TP50A which has a working loudspeaker. Best places are Ebay UK or from another radio enthusiast who is a member of the UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum website - there is a 'Sets and Parts Wanted' section there where members advertise for spare parts.
