Hello

I,ve here one  Nordmende Isabelle C console to repair. This console has its radio set  vertically placed on.

First I tried to find the holding screws to remove (extract) this set,  but their screws are not visible at all.

Do you know where are the accessable hold points to remove chassis for this kind of  Nordmende models?

Do you help me to to get the solution to this problem?

Thank you for any helpfull answer .

Best Regards

Mario Coelho

Dear Mario,

Can you please upload some images of the console, with emphasis on the model name (on the back) and the diverse stickers that identify the chassis type in the set (might be D818)? A view of the dial scale would also be good. That would be very helpful.

You can find images of an extracted chassis with frame on this auction (this link will expire soon). The framing however seems to have been removed from the console by breaking the glue, so I don't think this is the recommend way.

Perhaps you can identify mounting points and screws. I will upload some of those images to the model page after the necessary revisions.

Kind regards
Mark

Seeing this console on other pictures, and in my experiance with consoles of this period, I would turn the console over (on top of moving blankets) so that the speaker grill side is on the floor  Determine any and all screw/bolts(?) that could be holding the radio unit, then proceed by loosening them and check for play  You might have to remove the fasteners completely to take out the unit  Take pictures of each step of removal, for easier return of unit

BE CAREFUL OF THE DIAL GLASS IN FRONT!

This console can benefit with an upgrade of another record player/turntable (Dual 1009 or 1019?)  and phono preamp

You would need to make some modifications to the plinth

I would modify the bridge rectifier too on the radio unit, as thoroughly explained by Hans Knoll in a previous thread

Look out and replace all of the black colored power resistors as well
