A book that shaped my life!

This book was in my primary school library but I considered it a bit advanced when I was 8 years old. My Grandmother bought it for me when I was 10 and I actually built some of the radio - it worked!!! Though dated now it is still an excellent little book that enables the reader to build a working radio in stages - from a basic "crystal set" to a proper AM radio. I actually still have the one that I built though it is long retired. The book though is still on my bookshelf and I still love it. The reader will learn a considerable amount about radio throughout it's 50 pages. Nearly 40 years after I first was given the book I feel I owe Rev. Dobbs (and my Gran!) a great deal as it was the book that opened the doors to radio for me, a hobby I still enjoy very much. Thoroughly recommended.
