There are no schematics that I can find anywhere for this radio. Does anyone know if it has a 455KC I/F. I'm trying to align this radio and it's quite far off of 455KC, so I'd like to be certain before I proceed.

Thank you,

Edward Enners

In the "Radio Troubleshooter's Handbook, 1943", unfortunately, this model is not listed.

However, some models, e.g. "117-LW", "126-LW", "250-LW", "321-LW", "350-LW",  have I.F. frequencies of 132 kHz, while other models, e.g. "128", "250", "300",  have I.F. frequencies of 172.5 kHz, and further on models e.g. "375", "375 (W-6)", "755", "755-M", "775-M" an I.F. frequency of 175 kHz is used, but model e.g. "375-LW" only uses 125 kHz.  Also some models with I.F. 115 kHz are listed.

However, most of the other Emerson models listed are using 455 kHz or 456 kHz.

So it will be wise to check which I.F. frequency can be measured for model 344, and to align the filters correspondingly.
