I am looking for information regarding a 1970's  Japanese manufacturer, Fuji Electro Co. Ltd. (Fujitone) Some Fujitone stereo products were marketed in Australia under the Expo and Trakton brands. Online trawling has yielded very little information.

It would be easy to jump to the conclusion that there is a connection between Fuji Electro Co. & Fuji Electric/Fujitsu. However the name Fuji is connected with a number of Japanese firms and relates to the iconic volcanic Mount Fuji.

Radiomuseum does list some early Fujitone transistor radios manufactured by Kyowa Electronics Inc. There is also a Kyowa Electronic Instruments Co. Ltd., but so far unable to make any connection between the two. Kyowa (meaning "today" or "new day") is a common business name in Japan.

There are also Fujitone electronic keyboards as seen on the internet and again no connection can be established with these and the 1970's Fujitone stereo equipment.

It would seem the name Fujitone may have been associated with a number of manufacturers over time.

Thanks in advance if anyone has any credible information.

Is any MITI code present on those products?  See for example the very comprehensive article on the subject by mr David Erali.
