garrard: 210

Hi, I am trying to restore a Garrard 210 which was in a Murphy Console.

I have managed to get it back in order manually but the auto function does not work.

Any advice on how to go about it?

What is wrong with the auto-mechanism ? If the platter slows down to a stop when the auto-mechanism is activated then you will need to re-lubricate all the mechanism's moving parts as the original grease will have solidified. I use Castrol LM (low melting point) grease which is usually used in car wheel bearings. Use light machine oil sparingly to lubricate the spindle, intermediate bearing and motor bearings.
