Philco 38-10 Two speed knob removal   2

Hi Mario ! The double knob you speak off is the High and Low spped tuning knob. They are both removed by just pulling straight off. The center knob must be removed first and then the outer knob will pull straight off the same way. These have small bent spring metal inserts in them that may have become rusted onto the shafts so possibly through the back of the radio you maybe able to spray a small amount of lubricant onto the shaft to help with this. These are hard to get a grip on so a peice of rubber would help to grab the knob. Good Luck ! Dale.

Hi Mario, I would sugest winding a length of string in between the two knobs at first and pull the string , you will need to put the cabinet up against something solid so that you will have something to pull against , be careful not to damage the dial or other parts protruding from the front of cabinet.  Another member sugests that spraying in oil to the back of the knobs is a good idea , but an almost impossable feat , if you can get an aerosol nozzle in well and good , let us know how u get on , regards Maitiu .
