It is indeed bakelite, I've just restored one of these excellent radios, an RC-1102C. I'm arranging to have that model changed.

Hello Kobi,

I have changed the RC-1102C model, I will have this RC-1102A changed, and I think we can safely assume that the RC-1102 and RC-1102B models of the Livingston radio also have bakelite cases so I will change those too.
