Saba Freudenstadt 15M Stereo

Hi collectors !

I've discussed with one seller about a Saba Freudenstadt 15 M radio. The seller claims that one tube is missing from the radio ( ECLL800), but it still plays perfectly ! Is this possible ? Why the tube would be there in the first place ?

The 2. ECLL800 ist the other channel of this Stereo Radio (Left and right Channel).
