Hi all, I am working on this radio that uses the following tubes: 78,75,6a7,25z5,and 43. It also employs a ballast tube. The ballast is missing, and I have one on order .. must drop 49volts octal base, with (2) 6-8v blue bead dial lamps. I will post picture in hopes of someone recognizing set. The speaker is mounted on top of cabinet. It has broadcast and shortwave band. It is AC/DC (No transformer)    Thanks  AL

The dial looks like an Andrea type of 1936-38. Compared with 2D5 or 2D8 in "A Blast from the Past" p.203.

From the tube complement my best educated guess is:

Andrea, Model 510, ch= UC5S,1936/37 ; schematic (drawn May 1936) see Riders 9-23.

Thanks Konrad!  It is the closest schematic I have seen. The radio is repaired and in service as we type. It took a lot of work, finding the correct ballast, and replaceing the speaker ( and Field Coil)  adding a choke, and replaceing all the caps...but she is woking quite well.........Thanks again.............AL
