Which manufacturer built the Citroen Bordeaux II car radio´s
? Which manufacturer built the Citroen Bordeaux II car radio´s
Dear Forum
I stumbled upon a car radio especially for Citroen. It has markings ´Citroen´ and ´Bordeaux II´
It is a stereo FM/AM radio with cassette player. There is little information to be found on the internet. Some suggest that it is a Grundig radio, others say it is a Blaupunkt. The warranty sticker is in German so both could be true.
Does anyone have more information about this radio? What year could it be?

Grundig or Blaupunkt
Hello Arjen,
Your radio looks like the Grundig radios built in the 80s, probably Blaupunkt could be also possible.
Pics from the inside of your radio would be very helpful !

Grundig
Compare with Grundig WKC 2039 VD
On your radio, somebody has peeled off the "Z" label:
This radio was an option to be factory installed in models 2CV and VISA, years 1985 and 1986 known.

Very similar
I did not made pics of the interior but I have opened it up to repair the cassette player (loose thread from the pick-up) and the WKC 2039 VD is identical. Thanks.
Did not know it was installed in 2CV. I thought Visa and CX
And yes the ´Z´ label is peeled off apparently.
So Grundig it is!
Thanks again for all your inputs, I´ll suggest it as a new model.

Also CX
Meanwhile I have found a reference to the CX model, too. Cheep radio for an extraordinäry model, though.
During the lifetime of the CX it was equiped with radios in vertical and horizontal orientation, with or without extra satelite.
Best Regards,
GR
