- The model is in BRM manual (09) from 1958 still in trad. Chinese as brand 長江 Changjiang (Yangtze river) which is 长江 in simplified Chinese. The full text for the model designation is 長江牌五管直流收音機 - simplified = 长江牌五管直流收音机 = YangZi river (brand) five (tube) DC radio. We use here simplified Chinese which was introduced in 1959 for mainland PRC only.
