  • Notes
  • Model 3007. In its price range this is the king of 8" speaker systems. Delivers surprisingly powerful and natural bass response, clean midrange, and undistorted highs. You just can't do better for the money. Special 8" woofer has powerful high-flux 1 1/2-lb. ceramic magnet structure coupled to 1" voice coil for high efficiency and a smooth bass response extends to 50 Hz—without booming. Bass reflex-type enclosure with precision tuned ducted port and fiberglass insulation prevents annoying resonance and improves bass response. Whizzer cone improves mid-frequencies for much greater "presence". Direct radiator cone tweeter has a 6-oz. Alnico V magnet structure coupled to 9/16" voice coil for treble response up to 15,000 Hz. Built-in resistor-capacitor type crossover evenly distributes the frequencies at 8000 Hz. Solid 3/4" wooden closure, walnut veneer finish. Attractive, acoustically transparent cane grille cloth. Only 11 1/4x18 3/8x7 5/8" deep.
