  • The Knight-kit Wireless Broadcaster kit, first available after November 15, 1954, uses a Class A Heising modulator and inverse feedback.  It can be used to feed a microphone, phono (with either high level or magnetic cartridge) or  line level audio to a radio wirelessly at up to 50 feet away.  Output is adjustable from 600 to 1600 kHz.  It can also be used as an audio amplifier to an external speaker.  The set uses a selenium rectifier.  A completely closed chassis version, model 706, was introduced in 1959.  Shipping weight was 3 lbs.
