Stand close to the "Optimus-3" or comfortably relax farther away… it really doesn't matter. Because wherever you happen to be in the room, you'll be astounded by it's fidelity and wrap-around stereo all made possible by E.S.P.—exclusive Allied Radio Shack concept of Equalized Stereo Perception.

With E.S.P., the "Optimus-3" closes the sound gap conventional speakers and the omnidirectional variety just can't fill. Stereo can now be perceived from every position in a room—no matter what the shape of the room or where you place the speakers. And it's simply accomplished by using a rear panel switch to control either of two side 3" high-compliance tweeters while a front tweeter plays continuously. This unique speaker system uses one 12" brass voice-coil woofer and three 3" high-compliance tweeters.

Ultra-smooth frequency response of 20-20,000 Hz at the lowest distortion we have ever measured, so you can hear deep, resonant bass at low volume and high pitched treble notes at any volume. LCR cross-over network delivers the correct frequencies to the proper speaker—divides system responses at mid and high frequencies. Sealed fine-furniture cabinet prevents annoying, strident sound due to intermodulation with the woofer. Three delicate hand-made wood grilles.

Variable tweeter level control so you control the input to the two side tweeters; bass compensation switch, and sound direction pattern switch to get the best acoustics possible in any size and shape room. Impedance: 8 ohms. Input: 25 watts minimum, 100 watts maximum. Size 29x24¾x13".
