  • The AMBU cadmium voltmeter was a special meter designed to measure voltage at a maximum of 2.5 and 25 for two scales, but was also used with a cadmium electrode to determine flooded lead storage battery cell condition. The use of the meter is described in "The Automobile Storage Battery, Its Care and Repair" by O. A. Witte, Chief Engineer, American Bureau of Engineering (first edition and impression was 1918). It is also advertised in Automobile Dealer and Repairer, 1919.  The case is made of hard rubber. The meter movement was made for AMBU by Jewell.
